Dear
Ryan H,
Welcome to our
Newsletter
B&B
would like to invite you to be a part of our monthly newsletter. As
many of you know we had a meeting with all of our subs and suppliers
this spring. The purpose of this meeting was to give each of you
feedback and learn how to improve as a team. We were also able to
take information that each of you gave us and see how we could apply it
in our company.
The feedback from many of you was that the meeting was both
helpful and beneficial. We wanted to come up with a way to
share this type of information more often since getting everyone
together is a bit difficult.
We have decided to start publishing a monthly newsletter.
In this we hope to share some of our concerns and areas we can see need
for improvement. Many times these may come directly from owners
on our projects. We also hope to share good experiences from our
jobs because we are aware of the effort that is given by each of your
companies.
B&B hopes this can be beneficial to all of the team members
that work on our projects. Feel free to contact us with any
questions or concerns regarding this letter.

Great Jobsite Experience
This month's good
story comes from the Cronacher Project Located in Jackson
Wyoming. For those of us that get to spend time in Mechanical
Rooms, we all know there is a lot of equipment and very little
space. The Cronacher Project is no exception. Jason with Liberty
Plumbing was on site to install the water heater and we just could not
find the room to accommodate the area needed. Joe McMurtrey with
JM Heating was in Idaho Falls at the time he was called to discuss
what could be done with his equipment. Joe was 2 hours
away from the project and dropped what he was doing to come pay the
jobsite a visit. Joe and Jason came up with the solution which
required some moving of the Fire suppression system. Todd From
3-D just happened to stop by that afternoon and asked "What do you
need us to do and When?" With no questions asked they
moved their equipment on the spot disregarding their busy
schedule. What started out as a "BAD DAY" turned
out to be a great experience. When we work as a team instead of
thinking of "ME" great things can happen. Ryan
Johnson Project Superintendent appreciates their efforts. Great
Job Guys!

"Job Cleanliness"
Job
cleanliness is important to all of us on our projects. It is
stated in the specs as well as the contract. We expect each sub
to clean up after themselves daily and to help do a thorough job clean
on Fridays.
We received the following email from a concerned owner and
wanted to pass this along so all can see why we put so much emphasis on
this.
"Went to
the house tonight and saw the walls and it looks great! I found
some garbage in the hole (three soda cans and potato chip bag). My
sister said that stuff is normal-but can cause problems with
bugs. They found human waste products in their attic. I
have some extra garbage cans --- I thought I would put them out--- do
you think that would help?"
Even though this was a small amount of garbage it still was
enough to cause concern by an owner. Let's continue to make a
strong effort to keep jobs clean.

Incorrect and Late Pay Applications
One
recurring issue that we have is when billing time comes around each
month pay applications continue to show up late and come
incorrect. Our office manager spends countless hours on the phone
each month helping each of you correct these and resubmitting
them. We have no problem helping train your companies how these
work and make it easier for each of you but can't continue to spend
hours each month redoing well over half of the pay applications that
come in.
Please have whoever is in charge of billing contact Heather
and set up an appointment so she can help you and answer any questions
you may have. B&B will do what we need to help train your
companies so this process runs smoother for both of us.
Starting Novemeber we will begin charging $25 if we need to
assist you in correcting your pay applications because this takes a ton
of time each month. If you would prefer we can also just fill
them out for you based on your monthly invoice for $25.
.When they come incorrect and late it delays us billing the owner which
delays our ability to pay each of you on time.
Please
remember these points:
*Pay
Apps are due by 20th(if that falls on the weekends then they are due
the Friday morning before that weekend.
*Please reference your past Pay Apps to make sure your numbers are
consistent.
*Get all
Change Orders in these Pay Apps within 30 days of the request.
*If you
are past the 20th you will not be included in that month's billing
cycle.
